However, in the newspaper printing industry, due to the overall reduction in newspaper printing in recent years, newspaper printing companies have slower equipment updates. Except for a few high-end imported newspapers, the general printing presses are not configured. Ink presets, even most prefecture newspaper printing companies have not touched ink preset technology. Here, the author combines practical experience to explore such a newspaper printing press that does not have the ink preset function, and realizes the ink preset method.
Manual adjustment of the amount of ink
Before the official printing, it is necessary to adjust the amount of ink discharged by the newspaper printing press ink fountain. The common method is to adjust the ink key one by one according to the layout of each printing plate after the printer gets the printing plate. However, due to the high requirements for timeliness of newspaper printing, newspaper printing companies always hope to start printing as soon as possible after getting the printing plate, and according to the area of the printing plate, the first time to adjust the ink volume and reloading the plate will delay the printing time. In addition, in the case of more stringent environmental protection requirements for printing, the flush-free CTP plate is popularized and applied, but the layout of the flush-free CTP plate is extremely small, and it is difficult to use the human eye to evaluate the layout of the layout image. Adjusting the amount of ink is difficult to achieve.
In addition, there is no separation line of each ink zone on the printing plate, and the graphic is reproduced by the dot. Method for implementing ink preset in newspaper printing
In order to enable the newspaper printing press that does not have the ink preset function to use the prepress electronic file to achieve accurate output ink pre-setting, we have developed a set of ink preset software for newspaper printing. The software can automatically read the pre-press digital file as the source file of the ink preset, obtain the information of the layout area of the layout, and then generate a reasonable ink roller speed according to the ink preset characteristic curve of the specific printing industry rotary printing machine. The ink area ink opening value guides the worker to accurately preset the ink key.
The initial process of generating the ink preset characteristic curve is: printing the ink triangle test image, the program reads the digital file of the ink triangle test image and the actual ink key setting value at the time of printing, and calculates the specific printing machine in the ink according to the model. For the printing worker, it is possible to accurately adjust the ink fountain in advance while waiting for the plate making time. After printing, it is not necessary to be busy and correct the ink key, and the work is easier, so it is also acceptable.
The benefits of ink presets
There is a characteristic in newspaper printing. Before the printing plate is finished, the printing workers are relatively free, and once they get the printing plates, they must work against time, especially from the loading to the debugging and printing. This stage is also a bottleneck that restricts production efficiency and the number of employees.
Using ink preset technology, the newspaper's electronic documents can be quickly transferred to the newspaper printing company, and the ink preset data can be quickly obtained. In the idle time period of waiting for the plate making, the printer can first accurately calculate the ink amount. By the time the plate is ready, the printer can immediately install and turn on the printer, reducing the impact of setting the ink key on the production time.
This ink preset based on prepress electronic files does not need to rely on the experience of the printer, and the preset accuracy is much higher than the manual preset. In general, as long as the overprinting is accurate, even if the amount of ink is not corrected, it can basically meet the color reproduction requirements of color printing, and obviously reduce the tension and busyness of the printing workers running back and forth during the booting stage, and the dependence of the enterprise on the skilled workers, even It can reduce the number of employees and reduce the production cost of enterprises.
Due to the high precision of the ink preset, the ink color at the boot stage is relatively uniform and reasonable, which can significantly reduce the waste of the boot report, especially when the layout contains large advertisements. In addition, the traditional manual method is used to adjust the amount of ink, especially when the layout of the layout is low and scattered, sometimes it seems to meet the requirements from the printing effect, but the actual output ink is not reasonable, there is a local large ink.
