  1. Correction and description of proofer and printer


Color proofs, whether analog or digital, or pre-press proofs or proofs, are key tools for monitoring each part of the image reproduction process. To ensure accurate color proof, the important role is: 1 for traditional analog proofing, To the accuracy and stability of the output four-color ink sample color, there are three indicators that must be controlled and standardized.

       

A. Equipment Standard: The equipment is calibrated to ensure that the proofer is in optimal working condition, including proper pressure, standard plate temperature and optimum performance of the air blanket blanket.

B. Material standards: First, standardize the same brand, the same series of inks, do not smash and use each other. Quality standards: First, the standard density value of four-color inks is standardized, which is the core of color management for proofing and pre-press operations, because the variation of the density value of the field has a great influence on the color of the whole sample. The second is to standardize the relative contrast (K value), which is an important indicator to measure whether the density of the proof (printing) is sufficient, and whether the dot gain is in compliance with the standard range. Generally, the quality of the proof is appropriate, and the K value is above 0.40. Excellent.


At present, some proofing companies generally have two problems. One is that the one-sided pursuit of the dot gain is smaller and the better, and the small dot in the center of the dot is caused, so that printing cannot be caught up. This is a misunderstanding. The proofing dot increase should have a standard range, and it is not necessary to ignore the printing and the one-sided pursuit of dot gain is smaller. Practice has proved that 50% of the dots increase C, M ink is 8%-10%, Y, K is 12%-13% is appropriate. Second, the proofing uses DIC Japan soft special ink, which has a large gap with the printing ink, which often causes a large difference in color between the printed matter and the proof, which makes the customer unsatisfied with the printed product. Therefore, it is important to establish the profile file of this ink by using the same brand of ink for proofing and printing. Prepress work must create conditions for the final printing of good products.


2 In terms of digital proofing, the first thing to do is to simulate the color proof effect of the traditional proofing machine proof (printing), and then create the printer's characteristic file by:


A. Through the calibration of the printer, the printer is in an optimal working condition, including determining the type of printing paper used.      

B. First, use the traditional analog proofing to produce a standard proof of ISO/IT8.7.3 color standard for automatic color correction by the digital proofing machine. The IT8.7.3 color code contains 928 color blocks, and has the largest overlap area for detecting the ink overprinting effect. There are Y, M, C, and K scales for detecting the density of the ground, and there is an overprint for detecting the gray balance CMY. District, etc., the content is complete. Of course, all kinds of soft can also use different formats, different color blocks of color code files according to their needs, such as Creo.   2. Standardization


To ensure that the quality of the printing plate is stable and to ensure the correct transfer of the tone of the original image, there are three indicators that must be controlled and standardized.

3 quality standards.


A. Determine the optimal exposure time, use the UGRA control strip to control the exposure, reach the ladder 4 ladder (0.6D), the resolution is 6μ, the 8μ yin and yang lines are complete, and the step control section is 2% small. Qi.

B. Determine the optimal development speed, the correct exposure should be properly developed to match, the UGRA control strip is used to control the development speed, the hollow point after development is relatively clear, and the corresponding small dot is relatively firm, which proves that the developer concentration is appropriate.

C. It is necessary to replace the PS version of a brand and do a standardized test to ensure that the part of the printed version has good oleophilic water repellency and good blank oil and oil repellency.


3. Phototyper standardization


The laser imagesetter should process the image files processed by the computer and output the CMYK four-color color separation film after RIP. It must ensure that the dot size value of the scanning color separation setting can be accurately transferred to the color separation film. It has three indicators. Control and standardize.
