The quality standard requirements and operating procedures of the hardcover binding process refer to the quality standard requirements and operating procedures of various modeling processing and equipment used on the book block after the book is locked. It includes flattening bundles, sticking agents, drying splits, cutting books, rounding, ridges, three sticks, shell making, hot stamping, and lining sweeping. It is divided into three major processes.
First, the quality standard requirements for hardcover binding process
The hardcover binding consists of three upper sequences, namely book block processing, book lining processing and nesting processing.
1. Hardcover book core processing quality standard requirements
(1) Flatten
1 According to the actual thickness of the book block (one or several), the pressure gauge is set, and the test pressure is correct before it can work normally.
2 When the flattening, the book block should be neatly collided, and there should be no shrinkage, skewed, and flattened.
3 The thickness of the book block after flattening is basically the same and should be piled neatly, the four corners do not overflow, and the book block is not deformed.
(2) The first time to apply for book adhesive
1 Use the correct type of glue, apply thin and even, no spills and no flowers.
2 The first time to apply glue to ensure the softness and firmness of the round, so that the rounded ridge does not scatter. (3) Round

The circular circle of 2 turns is calculated by the thickness of the book block, and the central angle of the arc is between 90 degrees and 130 degrees.
After 3 rounds, the book block has a uniform circular shape, a small skew or a small end at one end, ensuring that the upper and lower corners of the slit are perpendicular.
4The book core is round without cracks and wrinkles, and it is firm and flat without rounding.
(4) ridge
1 The book block is clamped and positioned correctly, the four corners are not flat and the upper part of the book block ridge is parallel and parallel.
2 The hand-cranked ridge is used properly, without cracks and wrinkles, and the back of the book is sturdy and firm, and keeps the correctness of the circle.

(5) Sticky tape and plug cloth

(7) Sticky paper
1 Adhesive is appropriate, uniform application, no spillage.
2 The length of the paper: 3 to 4 mm longer than the book block. Package paper width: for the two book back arc length plus 5mm stick.

2. Hardcover shell processing quality standard requirements
(1) Material size specifications and requirements for each part of hardcover book case:
1 book cover cardboard specifications
Bookcase cardboard length: book core length plus two floating mouth width (floating mouth width: 32 and below the opening is 3 ± 0.5mm, 16 opening is 3.5 ± 0.5mm, 8 open and above is 4 ± 0.5mm). Bookcase cardboard width: book block width 3-11mm.
2 medium diameter cardboard specifications
Medium diameter cardboard length: the book core is long and two floats are wide. Medium-diameter cardboard width: book back arc length (round back) or book back width plus two cardboard thickness and 1mm glue layer (square back false ridge).
3 cover specifications
Full face length: cardboard length plus two sides width (each edge width is 15 ± 1 mm). The whole width is wide: two cardboard widths plus one medium diameter paper width and two middle slit widths, plus two side widths. Middle seam width: round back is the groove width (6-7 mm) plus a cardboard thickness, square back false ridge, groove width (6-7 mm) plus two cardboard thickness. Medium diameter: medium diameter cardboard width plus two middle slit widths.
4 sheets of paper specifications
The length of the paper is long: the cardboard length is increased by two cardboard thicknesses and then the width of the two sides is reduced. The width of the paper is wide: the width of the cardboard plus a cardboard thickness minus one edge width.
(2) When hardcover bookboard and medium-diameter cardboard are used for cutting, do not cut the outer knife (the outer edge of the cardboard has a slope).
(3) The size of the cut cardboard is accurate and not skewed, and the tolerance is ±1 mm.
(4) The correct choice of adhesive (to use animal glue or polyvinyl alcohol PVA), the viscosity is appropriate, the application is thin and even, does not overflow.
(5) The casing is not skewed correctly, and the upper and lower parallel are consistent, with a tolerance of ±1 mm. The medium diameter size tolerance is ±1 mm, and the book case width tolerance is ±2 mm.
(6) When enveloping (manually), first pack the head and the foot, and then pack the two sides, and the package should not be empty, wrinkled or bubbled.
(7) The back of the cladding is piled up on the opposite side, and it is naturally dry after flattening. Drying and exposure are strictly prohibited.
3. Hot stamping quality standard requirements
(1) The correct version of the hot plate is used (the zinc plate is available for 6000 or less, and the copper plate is more than 6000). The plate version should be modified when the plate is used, and the reverse plate should be polished and then adhered to ensure that the plate is firm and free of the angle. phenomenon.
(2) The hot stamping temperature and time are correctly selected according to the substance to be burned (see Table 1).
(3) The pressure is not paste, no print, clear graphics, sharp edges and luster.
(4) The hot stamping specification is accurate, the upper and lower tolerances of the middle waist image are not more than 2mm; the left and right tolerances: the thickness of the book core is 1/10mm below 25mm, and the law of 25mm is 2.5mm; cover specification: skew and error not exceeding 1.5mm .
4. Nesting quality standard requirements
(1) Correctly select the lining adhesive according to the cover texture.
(2) The seam adhesive should be applied when the sleeve is closed, and it should not be applied to the edge of the cardboard.
(3) The book case and the book block are in correct alignment, and the sleeve is not skewed. After the nesting, the three sides are consistent, with a tolerance of ±1 mm.
(4) The back groove is correct, and the groove of the book after the groove is flat and vertical without wrinkles and breaks, and is firm and not deformed.
(5) The lining adhesive is thin and uniform, does not overflow, does not smear, does not smear, and has no wrinkles or bubbles after flattening. If the ring lining is too thin or coated paper, it is necessary to pad the laminated paper to avoid the appearance of hill-like wrinkles in the ring lining or book block before and after, which affects the appearance quality of the book.
(6) The finished hardcover book should be stacked neatly for 12 hours, and the product can be inspected and packaged after being dried and shaped.
Second, the hardcover equipment operating procedures
The equipment for hardcover is divided into two parts, namely the single machine and the linkage production line. The single machine equipment used in hardcover mainly includes flattening machine, binding machine, cutting machine, rounding machine, shell making machine, hot stamping machine and press machine. The linkage line refers to the production line of the hardcover processing linkage and the interlocking production line (where the book cutting machine, the flattening machine and the binding machine can refer to the contents of the flat design), the operation rules are as follows:
1. Do all the preparatory work before starting the machine, such as rough inspection of the various parts of the machine, whether the screws are loose, whether the rules move and the lubricating oil is poured.
2. It is necessary to send a signal first when the machine is turned on, and the test machine can send a signal without any error before it can perform normal operation.
3. The machine should stick to its own position during normal operation, and observe the operation (including hot stamping temperature, pressure, adhesive temperature, etc.) and the processed products at any time. If the problem is found, it should be stopped immediately, and it is strictly forbidden to eliminate it during operation.
4. Before and after the linkage production line must cooperate with each other to ensure accurate connection between the single machines and normal operation of the whole machine. When a single machine has problems after the machine is shut down and then run, it must be signaled to the whole machine before starting production.
5. Do a good job after the class to clean up the work, such as rough inspection of the equipment used, clean up the work site, make the handover order, prepare for the next class.
6. Check the equipment and clean the rubber pot on time. In normal operation, check in a single shift (8-12 hours) every two weeks, and double or three shifts (16 hours or more) every week. Problems found during inspection should be adjusted by hand (including replacement of consumable parts).
7. When the equipment needs to be repaired or overhauled, the technical worker who has the title of senior engineer or above should fill in the application report and wait until the relevant department approves it. It must be randomly repaired by the captain of the senior engineer or above. Both parties sign and enter the equipment file.
