Several failure phenomena in letterpress printing are in the relief printing process. Due to improper operation. Poor mechanical debugging, wear of equipment components, and poor material quality of the substrate often lead to various failures, which not only affect normal production, but also reduce product quality. Here I will analyze some common faults.


1. Paper skewing failure


There are several reasons for skewing the paper. First of all, you should carefully observe how the paper starts to skew and then adjust it in the order of paper feeding. Troubleshooting can be done from the following aspects.


(1) Check the flatness and tightness of the paper pile, and see whether the paper itself has uneven thickness, uneven deformation due to pressure depression, and unevenness caused by looseness, and then according to the existing problems, the paper pile is properly Beat and fluff, so as to avoid paper skew caused by late suction and late delivery of the paper.


(2) Check whether there are any adhesions on the four end faces of the paper stack, whether the paper-pressing block of the paper pile-sliding part slides up and down, whether there is any paper jam, and whether the rear paper-blocking board is too tight, so as to take measures such as shaking the paper edge and cleaning up Adjust the object, adjust the platen or the back block.


(3) Check whether the paper feed nozzle is stable or not, whether the translation is stable, whether the height is consistent, and whether there is any blockage, so as to adjust the paper feed nozzle to remove paper jams and other blockages.


(4) Check the tightness of the paper feeding belt, whether the conveyor belt joint is flat, whether the pressure of the roller is suitable, whether the paper of the pressure paper tongue is too low, and whether there is any foreign matter on the paperboard (such as loose screws), the side gauge Whether the working status is normal, so as to make corresponding adjustments.


(5) Check whether the landing time and pressure of the front row of paper guide rollers are consistent, whether the paper guide roller rotates flexibly, and adjust the corresponding problems.


2. Paper feed failure


Empty sheeting is a common fault in the paper feeding process. There are generally two cases: continuous empty sheeting and continuous paper feeding after empty sheeting. No matter which kind of empty sheet failure, it can be checked and adjusted from the following aspects.


(1) Check whether there is a bow wrinkle on the paper surface. If the concave part of the bow wrinkle is aligned with the nozzle, it will leak “broken sheet”, and the paper surface can be changed to change its unevenness, or the paper can be turned off for printing to make the flat The paper is aligned with the nozzle.


(2) Check whether the paper pile is uneven or not. If the nozzle part is low, it will not be able to be sucked up. It can be properly padded with cardboard strips or other objects, and the paper stack should be padded to meet the requirements of paper suction.


(3) Check if the edge of the paper stack is stuck. If there is foreign matter or water on the edge of the paper, or if the paper is cut with a blunt paper cutting blade, if the paper edge is easy to stick, it will cause difficulty in paper suction and empty sheet. Shake the paper properly.


(4) Check if the blowing volume is too small, and the edge of the paper should not be able to be blown, so that the distance between the nozzle head and the paper surface is uncomfortable and empty, and the method of adjusting the blowing amount can be appropriately adjusted.


(5) Check if the vacuum suction is insufficient or the nozzle is broken, and the suction pipe is broken and leaking. You can take the pipe to clear the foreign matter and block the damaged rubber nozzle and air duct.


(6) Check whether the angle and height of the nozzle and the paper stack are appropriate. If there is any discomfort, adjust it at the discretion, so that the paper surface is level with the nozzle head and meets the stack height required by the nozzle.


(7) Check whether the position or angle of the paper brush and steel sheet is uncomfortable, and adjust the brush and steel sheet according to the softness and hardness of the paper.


(8) Check if the working of the air pump is normal, check whether the suction of the suction head is uniform. If the suction is large and small, the wind pump has problems and should be repaired.


3. Double or multiple failures in paper feeding


(1) If the vacuum suction is too large, causing double failure, it should be checked whether the vacuum suction of the rubber nozzle is too large, or the vacuum suction of the air pump itself is too large. For the former, depending on the thickness of the paper, a suitable rubber nozzle or a rubber nozzle can be selected; for the latter, the small suction volume should be adjusted to achieve the effect of not sucking double or multiple sheets when printing the thin paper.


(2) Double failure caused by insufficient air volume. The reason may be improper valve adjustment or malfunction of the air pump, causing air circuit blockage, pipe rupture, reducing the amount of blown air, blowing some paper on the surface of the paper stack, causing double or multiple failures. It should be checked one by one to be excluded.


(3) The paper brush and steel sheet are not suitable for double failure. The reason may be that the distance between the paper brush and the paper edge is too large or the length and angle of the steel sheet are not suitable. The position of the brush and the length and angle of the steel sheet should be adjusted to maintain the function of separating paper and loose paper.


(4) The nozzle is too low or the paper table is too high to cause double failure. When the nozzle is too low and the distance from the paper stack is too small, it is easy to cause double sheets of the tissue; if the paper table is raised too high, some paper on the surface is not loosened, resulting in double suction. The distance between the nozzle and the paper table should be adjusted as appropriate, as well as the speed at which the paper table is lifted.


In summary, as long as the operator strictly implements the production process in daily production, observes the operating procedures, and scientifically and reasonably carries out equipment maintenance and debugging according to the performance of the equipment and the characteristics of the substrate, and performs necessary processing on the paper to improve the equipment and The printability of the paper can effectively avoid various failures.
