First, the processing of paper containers

A paper container is a container made of cardboard for packaging goods, such as a carton, a grade cup, and the like. The quality of the evaluation class container not only evaluates the quality of the printing, but also evaluates the shape and processing of the container.

The manufacturing process of the paper container is: plate making, printing → surface processing → die cutting, indentation → box making.

    Material

Generally, it is made of cheap materials with good printing effect and suitable for the packaged goods. There are yellow paper, kraft paper, cardboard, white paper, etc. as the printing materials. The requirements are high, and the copper plate can be attached to these materials. Paper and printing inks should also be made of light-resistant, abrasion-resistant, oil-resistant, chemical-resistant, non-toxic inks according to the packaged items.

    2. Plate making, printing

Use letterpress, lithographic, photogravure, flexographic printing. Nowadays, lithographic printing is the main method, and the letterpress printing can obtain a finished product with good printing effect, bright color and good gloss, but the plate making process is complicated, and it is not as simple as lithographic printing. Spray powder during the printing process to prevent the back side from getting dirty.

    3. Surface processing

If necessary, it can be coated with polyethylene, pasted with surface film, waxed, and pressed, embossed, etc., but not all products are surface processed.

    4. Diecutting, creasing

    (1) Die-cut plate making

A preferred method of plate-cutting is to use a plywood to make a die-cut plate. First transfer the level box pattern to the plywood, use the wire saw to sew along the tangential line and the fold line, and then insert the die-cut and crease line into the plywood to make a die-cut version, which has a light version, accurate dimensions, can be saved, etc. advantage.

It is also controlled by computer. Laser cutting and cutting, input the size, shape and weight of the paper box into the computer, then control the laser movement by the electronic computer, engrave the tangential line of the paper box on the plywood, and finally insert the knife. line.

The process flow is: drawing a box sample drawing → drawing imposition no plan → copy imposition design drawing → imposition design drawing transferred to plywood → drilling and slashing → weaving → making die-cutting template.

    1 draw a carton sample

Draw a black and white draft line drawing of the carton, each with a precise size of the box, requiring very accurate lines.

    2 draw imposition design

According to the carton carton sample and the maximum printable paper size, the imposition design should consider saving paper and automatically removing the waste edge after die cutting. Draw an imposition design by imposition design.

    3 copy imposition design

Copy two imposition designs, one for printing and one for die-cutting, to ensure consistency and accurate registration during die cutting.

The 4 imposition design can be transferred to the plywood for manual or photo reproduction. Hand painted to ensure a high degree of accuracy.

    5 drilling and kerf

There is a special saw sewing machine, which is a wire saw that moves up and down. Drill holes in the joint of the two cores to facilitate the threading saw and saw along the tangent and fold lines.

The thickness of the wire saw should be compatible with the thickness of the die cutter line and the crease line.

    6 ruled line

The wire is cut, rounded or bent into various angles according to the shape of the box by a twisting machine, a bending machine, a punching machine, and the like.

The cross-cutting line has a height of 23.8 mm and a thickness of 0.7 mm. The die-cut lines embedded in the die-cutting plate must be of uniform height. The height and thickness of the crease line depends on the thickness of the paper. The height of the crease line is the height of the die cutter minus the thickness of the paper.

After the knives are embedded, foam rubber should be applied to both sides so that the cardboard can be ejected from the die cut.

7 making a die-cut version of the negative template

The stencil is to obtain a good seam. The insulating paper is placed on the steel plate, put into the machine, the carbon paper is placed, and then a layer of cardboard is attached. The machine is pressed to obtain the indentation, and the crease line is opened on the indentation. groove.

    (2) Die cutting and creasing machine

The die-cutting machine is generally flat-press type, which can automatically feed paper, automatic die-cutting, and automatic paper-receiving. The general speed is 1800-3600 sheets/hour. The foreign die-cutting electronic control device has a speed of 8500 sheets/hour and can automatically remove the waste edge.

The die-cutting and creasing machine is generally used for die-cutting, and can also be used for cold-pressing uneven, hot-printed flat bump aluminum and hot-pressed bumps.

    5. Box making

It is folded into a carton shape by a box making machine and used for the next process.

Corrugated boxes are generally printed with flexographic printing, and at the same time, they are pressed, glued or stapled to form the shape of the box, which is generally flat and rotated, and is opened into a box shape when in use.
