Engineers at the University of Cambridge in the UK have developed a new method that uses lasers to remove printed and copied text and images from paper. It is expected to bring a printer or copier with “clear printing” to reuse printed paper.

The technology uses a short-pulse laser to remove the toner ink that has been printed on the paper. The laser will evaporate the ink without damaging the paper, as long as it can remove multiple prints and prints in four billionths of a second. Ink. The researchers also found that although UV and IR lasers are effective in removing ink, the best effect is a visible green laser. This method does not cause any physical damage to the paper, nor does it cause the paper to change color. The ink that evaporates into a gas can also be collected by a filtering device.

“This process works for a variety of toners without damaging the paper below, so it's easy to reuse the paper right away in the office.” We feel that the technology can not only be greatly reduced from an environmental point of view. Cutting trees for papermaking can also be used as a cheaper recycling technology. Several companies are now interested in this first "cleaning printer".

We believe that the “clear printing” technology is more environmentally friendly than chemical recycling of waste paper, which not only reduces the need for chemicals, but also reduces CO2 emissions by 79%.

I believe that the invention of this technology will be quickly applied to various industries, especially the printing industry. Will bring us a lot of technology that could not be achieved before!
