The secondary printing plate is a printing plate that has been printed on the machine and needs to be printed on the machine.
Today, with more and more on-demand printing and short-run printing, many prints need to be printed or reprinted. Due to the lower and lower printing profits, the printing company has paid more attention to the control of printing costs. For a printed product, when the customer requests to print or reprint again, if the old printing plate is used for printing, the cost of the printing plate can be saved by one hundred yuan, and the printing time can be saved.
However, to ensure the quality of secondary printing, the preservation of the printing plate is very important. If the old printing plate is not well sealed, it should be scrubbed repeatedly with the cleaning agent before printing on the machine. If it is repeatedly scrubbed, it can not be used, and it must be re-printed, which wastes time and increases costs. Therefore, how to properly seal and enable the second printing plate is very important. The author introduces some experiences on this issue for peer reference.
Seal used plates
Firstly clean the printing plate, use a sponge to draw a proper amount of water to wipe the printing plate, and use the principle of oil-water incompatibility to make the blank part of the printing plate not stained with dirt; then spray a little car wash water on the printing plate and wipe it off with a clean soft cloth. Dissolved ink; finally wipe the plate with a cleansing agent and then use a sponge to draw a small amount of water to dry the plate.
The ink on the plate must be cleaned, because the dry ink will block the micropores of the inorganic salt layer in the blank part of the plate, thus forming dirty spots.
Plate rubbing
Wipe with a clean sponge (the water content should not be too much, otherwise it will reduce the concentration of the glue). Wipe the plate with a proper amount of protective glue. Wipe it first, then rub it again, so that the full thickness of the glue is even and leak-free, and the layout is not glued.
When some people wipe the protective film, they only pay attention to the effective printing area of the printing plate, and the two sides and the tips are not rubbed in place. As a result, the ink is applied to the edge of the printing plate when it is printed again, which causes trouble in cleaning the impression cylinder.
How to enable secondary plates
(1) Wipe the plate with a sponge and apply a proper amount of water and a cleansing agent. It is more time-saving and labor-saving to wipe the plate on the table than on the machine.
(2) Protect the plate with protective glue and wait for printing on the machine.
This method is also very useful for baked plates, because the blank portion of the edge of the baked plate is easy to get dirty after being placed on the machine.
The quality of the secondary printing plate preserved by the above method is basically unaffected, and the enabling is convenient, and the peers in need can refer to the trial.
