1. Determine the printing color sequence according to the nature of the ink
1) The transparency and hiding power of the ink depend on the difference in refractive index between the pigment and the binder. After the multi-color overprint of the high transparency ink, the color light of the lower ink layer can pass through the upper ink layer to achieve a better color mixing effect and obtain a vivid color. The order of contrast of ink transparency is generally as follows: yellow > magenta > cyan > black, so the ink with poor transparency is printed first, and the ink with high transparency is printed.
2) The viscosity of the ink takes into account the printing color sequence. Among the four-color inks, the viscosity of each type of ink is different. The general viscosity is as follows, ink>green>magenta>yellow, so the printing color sequence of black, cyan, magenta, and yellow is generally used in the four-color printing machine. The solidity of the overprint prevents the "twilight" phenomenon, the hue of the ink is changed, and the picture is blurred, the color is gray, and the dullness is caused. The two-color machine adopts the printing color sequence of cyan, magenta and black and yellow, and the ink has strong adsorption, easy drying and anti-staining.
2. Determine the printing color sequence according to the printed original
According to the content of the printed original, follow the principle of highlighting the main color of the picture to prevent the main color from being covered. Generally, the main color version is printed at the end. For example, the picture of the character, the red leaves of the mountain, and the picture of the autumn landscape need to be strengthened. , green, after printing magenta, yellow; such as the scenery of the scenery, landscapes or snow-capped mountains, to strengthen the cool color, then the first print black, magenta and then print green and yellow.
3. the amount of ink on the layout determines the printing color sequence
Whether it is a monochrome machine or a multi-color machine, multi-color printing always prints one color and then prints the next color version. If the large-area solid version is arranged in the first color printing, then print other light ink printing plates. The printing effect is definitely not ideal, and it is easy to scratch, poor ink absorption, dot flower, and difficult to dry. You can press the amount of light ink first, and then print the color order of the ink.
The color version of the two-color machine should also follow the principle of printing large and small inks. The large ink plate is placed in the second color group to prevent “tanning”.
4. Determine the printing color sequence according to the requirements of overprinting
1) Four-color overprinting. Overprinting is affected by factors such as water absorbing deformation of the paper or its own resistance to tension, and problems with plate making. For example, the black text on the layout is misplaced as a four-color word. The monochrome machine can print in yellow, magenta, cyan, and black. It can complement the gray balance and enhance the outline of the picture; some originals often have green and magenta text overprints. Once the set is not very unattractive, if the magenta and yellow overprinted golden red characters are not very obvious due to overprinting problems. In the two-color machine, the printing color sequence of combination of cyan, magenta and black and yellow should be adopted, and the effect is ideal.
2) Gold and silver printing. Gold ink and silver ink have little adsorption force and are printed in the last color as much as possible; however, the hiding power of the two oils is extremely strong, and the ground version will cover the entire color. The plate making problem must be considered. The gold or silver color block presses the four-color printed text, or whether the image is hollowed out. If it is not empty, it will be printed with gold or silver. If you do not pay attention to such problems, the content text will be lost.
3) Black text on the field version. It is often encountered in printing. After printing black text, the red, yellow or spot color version is red or yellow. You should choose the printing color sequence of the black text version after printing the ground color.
5. The color sequence of paper should be considered differently.
The paper used for color printing is different. The whiteness, smoothness, ink absorption, loose fibers, and powder removal are different. The properties of coated paper are stable. Other papers such as offset paper, writing paper, and white paper The surface of the cloth paper is rough and the tension is poor. In order to make up for the shortage of the paper surface, the yellow plate can be printed first.
6. Print color sequence in visual effects
In the past, monochromatic printing often arranged the yellow plate to be printed in the first color. Under the light, the yellow ink was visually weak and the ink volume was not well mastered. You can choose strong color ink to print in the first color, such as cyan, magenta, yellow, black printing color sequence, which is convenient for visual or replacing ink color, and prevent the yellow plate from drying quickly and producing glass due to the long interval. The phenomenon.
In the production process, experience should be summarized for the printing color sequence for different printing equipment, paper, ink and different originals. By referring to the proofs, checking the plates, and selecting the correct printing color sequence, you will eventually get a satisfactory overprinting effect.
