In the letterpress printing process, the following factors are closely related to the quality of the printed ink. Correct understanding and understanding of the relationship between these factors and ink color is of great significance for accurately controlling the quality of printed ink.
Correct adjustment of the inking unit
1. Stir the ink in the ink fountain, pay attention to the regular ink
The ink in the ink fountain should be often stirred with an ink knife during the printing process to prevent precipitation and suspension. In addition, due to the decrease in the amount of ink in the ink fountain, the gap between the ink fountain steel sheet and the ink transfer iron roller is easily reduced, resulting in a decrease in ink output and a lighter print color. In order to avoid this situation, it should also pay attention to the usual addition of ink.
2. Scientifically and rationally adjust the inking unit
(1) Adjustment of partial ink color in the lateral part of the printed matter
For example, a certain position of the horizontal layout is mainly composed of characters, nets and lines, and the amount of ink absorbed is relatively small. The corresponding ink-steel plate adjusting screw can be screwed in to appropriately reduce the amount of ink in the part. If a certain position of the horizontal layout is mainly in the field or the plate, the amount of ink should be increased accordingly, so that the ink color of the whole plate is kept uniform.
(2) Adjustment of the whole ink color shade
Different inks in the ink fountain should increase or decrease the conveying amount in an all-round way. There are two adjustment methods: one is to adjust the gap between the ink fountain steel sheet and the ink transfer (inking) iron roller; the other is to adjust the ink transfer roller. Rotate the arc to achieve. In the case of thinner ink, it is not advisable to adjust the gap between the steel sheet and the iron roll too large to avoid uneven ink color caused by ink leakage. When adjusting the ink supply amount, the rotation arc of the transfer iron roller should be controlled within 1/2 of its adjustment range, so that the ink supply amount can be flexibly adjusted when the ink is diluted during the printing process.
