First, the common label transfer printing type

Label transfer printing is the physical and chemical transfer of printed patterns and colors onto substrates. Common label transfer printing methods are as follows.

1. Pressure transfer printing

It is mainly used for hard and smooth materials such as paper, wood and plastic. It is used in art design, photo albums, toy stickers, scratching, transfer printing paper, etc. When using, the label surface of the finished label is peeled off, the pattern is aligned with the position to be transferred, and the nail or the wood piece is evenly rubbed on the back surface of the pressure sensitive film to tear the transparent film, that is, the transfer of the image is completed.

2. Reverse pressure transfer printing

The reverse pressure-sensitive transfer printing label is classified into three types: solvent-resistant, scratch-resistant, and baking-resistant. Solvent-resistant type can be solvent-resistant scrubbing; scratch-resistant type can be used without any treatment after transfer printing, and can have good adhesion and scratch resistance, but avoid hard object scratching; high temperature baking type can be transferred in transfer printing After the glazing baking treatment, the baking treatment may be directly performed without spraying the varnish. Pressure-sensitive transfer printing labels are suitable for hard materials such as metal, plastic, synthetic materials, such as air conditioners, refrigerators, washing machines, water heater casings, fishing rods, clubs, bicycles and other surface decoration. When using, just peel off the protective film, align it with the transfer position, evenly squeeze and tear the bottom paper to complete the pattern transfer.

3. Water transfer printing

It can be divided into reverse water transfer printing labels (B, C transfer printing labels), soluble forward water transfer printing labels, peelable film type forward water transfer printing labels, and the like. The water transfer printing label is characterized by beautiful printing, bright colors, wide application materials, strong and beautiful labels, and is not easy to change color, especially for irregular surfaces. Since the graphic film layer of the water transfer printing label has a certain degree of toughness, when the moisture under the layer is scraped, it is considered that the pattern is scraped on the irregular surface while being wiped off. After the drying is sufficient, the transfer image can be sprayed with varnish and baking, but it must be fully dried, otherwise bubbles will appear after baking, resulting in waste.

4. Thermal transfer printing

Thermal transfer printing is to print a pattern on a special transfer paper or transfer film, and then transfer it to a substrate, which is often used for ceramic decal printing, textile printing, and commercial label printing.

Second, the superiority of label thermal transfer printing

In recent years, with the advancement of technology, thermal transfer technology has also developed by leaps and bounds. The main feature of thermal transfer is that the transfer image is colorful and rich in layers. The effect is not only comparable to ordinary printing, but also thermal transfer. At high temperatures, the thermal transfer ink can be sublimated by heat and penetrate into the surface of the object to form a brightly colored image. Therefore, the thermal transfer product is durable and the image does not fall off, crack and fade. Thermal transfer applications range from fabric printing to ceramic, metal, glass and other handicraft surface printing, various labels, barcodes, and self-adhesive printing, especially in label printing.

In summary, label thermal transfer printing has many advantages:

(1) A small amount of various prints, no waste, even if only one sheet can be used for printing;

(2) Using the advantages of bar code and using with the scanner, it can reduce the manual processing time and reduce the cost;

(3) Various graphics can be printed as needed, especially the company logo and the certification pass;

(4) Printable serial number to track products;

(5) can connect company database data and quickly extract data for printing;

(6) It can be used in production lines to track product production at any time to avoid residual materials;

(7) It can be used in warehouse management to keep abreast of the latest inventory;

(8) It can print tickets or various bills with high speed and high quality;

(9) It is possible to select labels that are resistant to high temperature, corrosion, or adhesion as needed;

(10) Fast printing speed up to 15cm/s;

(11) It can be cut immediately after printing, and it is very ideal for ticket;

(12) Computer editing, printing content and printing results are not inferior to printing;

(13) Using system integration solutions, using barcode labels as a medium to comprehensively improve management systems such as procurement, production, warehousing, logistics, and sales. With the maturity and popularity of label printing technology, thermal transfer printers and consumables have been greatly reduced in price, and the cost of label thermal transfer printing has been reduced to the ordinary printing cost, greatly enhancing the competitiveness of label thermal transfer.
