China's screen printing is in a period of rapid development, how to copy a beautiful and realistic print, based on the industry is the goal of every enterprise. At present, many small and medium-sized enterprises still follow the hands-on testing methods based on experience and hand testing, which hinders the improvement of screen printing quality. How to realize the dataization and standardization of screen printing is a problem faced by every enterprise. The application of common tools for screen printing is the key to solving this problem. Here are a few of the test tools commonly used in screen printing.
Mesh test piece
The mesh test piece is one of the test tools that is often used by screen printers. It accurately measures the mesh count of the selected screen. The usage is to attach the mesh test piece to the screen, and look at the light and rotate the mesh test piece. This is to see the diamond-shaped interference fringe on the mesh test piece. The reading indicated by the upper and lower corners of the diamond is silk. The number of meshes. The application of the mesh test piece plays an important role in the correct selection and purchase of the screen. At the same time, it can accurately measure the number of screened lines for screened printed products. The method of use is the same as above.
Exposure test piece
Exposure test strips are one of the commonly used test tools for screen printers. It can accurately test the correct exposure time of different types of photosensitive glue, different light sources, different color screens, and different photosensitive film thickness conditions. Exposure test strips generally have five gray density test segments, each with an exposure factor, typically 1, 0.7, 0.5, 0.35, 0.25. After printing, observe the line definition of the five gray gradients on the screen, and multiply the exposure time of the clearest segment by the actual exposure time to calculate the optimal exposure time. For example, the printing time is 10min, and the line of 0.7 step after printing is the clearest, that is, 7min obtained with 10minX0.7 is the best exposure time of this screen. At the same time, the general exposure test strip is also equipped with a dot test strip from 1% to 97% different tone. The exposure test piece plays an important role in improving the plate making yield.
Resolution test piece
The resolution test piece is one of the test tools for the plate making process. It can accurately test the resolution of the photoresist used. The test piece lists 15 gradient lines from 0.025 to 0.375 mm and eight gradients from 0.5 to 4 mm. Analyze the lines and dots on the screen that are exposed at the right time to analyze the resolution of the photoresist you are using. At the same time, it can also reflect the jagged condition of the lines at different angles on the screen.
Screen angle test piece
The screening angle test piece is a special tool for testing the screening angle during the screening process. It can measure the screening angle of four negative films of yellow, black, black and black or monochrome screen printing products in monochrome screening and four-color screening. The method of use is to attach the test piece to the negative film or the monochrome print, and rotate the test piece. At this time, it can be seen that the test piece produces a circular or diamond-shaped interference fringe, and the angle at which the center of the interference fringe is the angle of the screen.
Tonometer
Tensiometers are a common tool in the process of screen printing. At present, the commonly used tension gauges in China are divided into Newton Tensiometer (N/cm) and millimeter Tensiometer. They all use the self-weight pressure to measure the screen tension. The Newton Tensiometer can directly read the tension value. When stretching the net, the tension can be generally controlled between 8 and 25 N/cm according to the requirements of different prints. The meter of the millimeter tensiometer is a dial indicator. When using it, the tensiometer should be placed on the reference glass and the needle should be zeroed, then placed on the stretched wire mesh. The large hand rotates counterclockwise, and the small dial rotates clockwise. The stretch tension is obtained by reading back the reading. The tension of the stretch net has a direct impact on the registration and print durability of the prints in screen printing.
Thickness meter
The film thickness gauge is a test tool used in the plate making process. It can accurately measure the coating thickness of the photoresist on the screen. It is mainly used for screen printing plate making of printed circuit boards, glass decoration, ceramic decoration, porcelain transfer paper and special printing.
Surface roughness meter
The surface roughness meter is a special instrument for measuring the flatness of the surface of the screen. The flatness of the screen surface plays an important role in printing high quality screen printing. If the surface coating of the screen is too thin, the printed product is prone to burrs and serrations, which affects the quality of the printed product. The roughness of the surface of the screen is generally expressed by the Rz value. The Rz value should be below 10 μm, and if it exceeds 25 μm, the print will be affected.
