First, the reason for the ghost

The principle of black-and-white laser printer imaging is to heat and pressurize the toner attached to the printing paper through the heating assembly, so that the toner adheres closely to the printing paper. If the printed document has a ghost image, the problem may be in three aspects, one is the quality of the paper used; the second is the quality of the toner in the toner cartridge; the third is the failure of the laser printer heating component.

Second, the solution

For the above three aspects, you should first re-print with better quality paper to see if there is any ghosting. If there is still a ghost image, make sure that the toner in the toner cartridge is genuine original toner. If high-quality printing paper and original toner are used, and printing ghosting still occurs, the reason is that the surface of the laser printer heating component is damaged, and the toner is stained on the heating component, causing a ghosting of printing. When a hardware failure occurs, you will need to repair the printer.

Third, the cause of the failure

So why is the surface of the heating component of the laser printer damaged? There are three main reasons:

1. Filling toner

Some filling toners have a large gap with the original toner in terms of particle size, hardness, melting point, etc., which is very likely to cause damage to the printer heating components.

2. Paper problems

To save paper, many users use another paper that has already been used to print again. When using these papers again, forget to remove the staples on the paper or separate the stapled sheets, which can easily damage the printer's heating components. Or some label paper, sulfuric acid paper, etc. are used in printing, and such paper is also liable to damage the surface of the heating element.

3. Paper jam problem

Paper jam is a printing failure that often occurs in laser printers. When removing jammed paper, the correct operation is to remove the toner cartridge of the printer and then remove the jammed paper. Otherwise, the toner cartridge is easily damaged under the hard pull.

Fourth, preventive measures

Since printing paper is usually the main culprit for damage to the heating element, use high-quality printing paper, taking care that the paper does not carry metal hard objects. Do not violently remove jammed paper, and remove the toner cartridge when removing paper.
