In newspaper printing, breaking paper is a headache. Whether it is manual paper or automatic paper-feeding, it takes more than 10 minutes to break the paper. Frequent paper breaks make the operator miserable. Here are some thoughts on the reasons for the break.
1. Edge cracking and side bumping. If it is found to be timely and dealt with immediately, this failure is not a serious problem.
2. There is a problem with the paper roll itself. The quality of the paper is unqualified or improperly stored. The center of gravity of the paper roll may be offset and eccentric. It is generally believed that if the eccentricity of the paper roll exceeds 5 mm, it is unacceptable, and the eccentricity is liable to cause breakage. Under normal conditions, the tension is balanced with the braking force. When an eccentric paper roll is used, the paper is subjected to an oscillation in which the oscillation period is gradually decreased and the amplitude is gradually decreased due to the change in the roll radius R. In each short period of time, the greater the startup speed, the greater the stress inside the paper.
3. The speed changes abnormally
4. Too much tension The paper has a tension limit. When tightening the tension, try to stay away from the ultimate tension. At high speeds, a very small change can also cause very large stresses that can cause paper breaks.
5. When the paper feed must be stopped immediately for other reasons, the paper cutter breaks the paper tape.
6. When the machine is turned on for a long time, the ink mark is deposited on the paper guide roller.
For example, the tension of Manroland's COLORMAN offset press is segmentally controlled. When turned on for a long time, the deposition of smog increases the radius of each roller, so that the tension also increases. Further, between the roller and the power roller, there are a plurality of paper guide rollers, and the deposition of the above ink scale also increases the tension. When the tension is at the limit, the machine paper breaker interrupts the paper's protective properties.
