1 solve the imitation of four colors on spot colors
We know that most of the cigarette pack printing is based on large-area spot color printing. Therefore, the first thing that needs to be solved in the four-color proofing of cigarette packs is the imitation of the four colors to the spot colors. In this regard, the author uses a deep background color tones of 100% monochrome plus secondary color dot printing, shallow background dot overprinting, in this process need to minimize the monochromatic composition. Due to the color separation imaging, development output, and overprinting process of the digital printing press, it is possible to realize computer color matching of the spot color. For some colors with higher density in the field, we can use the double hit function of the HP Indigo 5600 digital press to achieve monochrome double-printing.
2 to achieve local color computer color
The cigarette proof file is required to be a vector file with the same color group. The same color function is selected by the software, and the computer color of the local color is realized by the special color tone.
3 Solve the phenomenon of “double eyelid” produced by fine pattern overprinting
Although the HPIndigo 5600 digital press does not have a paper-feeding error, it still causes a "double eyelid" phenomenon when the fine pattern is overprinted due to mechanical errors of the device. The figure shows the original design file of the extremely thin lines of the cigarettes. If the design file is directly plated, the color will be color separated into 100%M+100%Y+75%K. Originally, mechanical registration errors are bound to occur, resulting in the phenomenon of "double eyelids".
To this end, the author uses the dark color K as the original large version, M and Y as the abbreviated version, and then sets K as the overprint, thereby obtaining the design file as shown in FIG. Among them, the size of the retraction of M and Y is very critical. For example, the line width of the design file shown in the figure is 0.10mm. If the normal offset reduction parameter is 0.12mm, the line cannot be printed. To this end, the author has repeatedly verified the ablation parameters, and finally obtained the best digital proofing effect when the ablation parameter is 0.02mm and the bilateral ablation.
