The plastic water-based ink is composed of water-based resin, auxiliary agent, pigment, water and other raw materials. When selecting materials, it is necessary to meet environmental protection requirements, and all the pure water should be used instead of organic solvents in the production process. Water-based ink is non-combustible, non-explosive, tasteless and non-toxic. It is the most environmentally friendly printing ink in the world.

Environmental advantages of water-based inks

Plastic water-based inks use water as a solvent, and no organic solvent (VOC) volatilizes during printing, and there is no odor. There is no pollution or damage to the environment and to the body of the printing operator. The water-based ink product itself will not burn, and will not cause fire due to static electricity and short-circuit of the wire. It is printed with water-based ink, and the printed product has no solvent residue, which meets the environmental protection requirements of food packaging and other packaging in any country and region in the world. .

Advantages of water-based inks in printing costs

Printing with aqueous inks, first of all it does not need to be diluted with any organic solvent, just use water. The printing industry often says "how much solvent can be added", such as adding 30%-50% solvent to the ink, and mistakenly believe that the more the solvent is added, the lower the cost. In fact, the added 30%-50% solvent is added throughout the printing process, which is added due to the viscosity change of the ink caused by the evaporation of the solvent. The faster the printing speed, the faster the volatility of the formulated diluent, and the more times the solvent is added, which is equivalent to continuously increasing the printing cost. Therefore, it is not the 10KG ink added to the 5KG solvent to start printing. According to industry standards, inks have high color density and low viscosity (except for screens, etc.).

This is related to the raw materials selected by the ink manufacturer, such as the molecular weight of the resin, the formulation, the production process, and the like. In addition to the closed printing workshop, the amount of solvent added during the printing process will change due to factors such as temperature and wind. The addition of thinner to the ink only serves to reduce the viscosity of the ink, making it suitable for printing, such as excessive When added, the color density of the ink is lowered, and the amount of the binder is simultaneously lowered, so that a good product cannot be printed. Therefore, the water-based ink is only added with pure water, and it is added once (pre-press). In the printing process, it will not cause color change due to the change of viscosity, and it will not be like the ink, because of the waste generated when the diluent is added during printing, which greatly improves the yield of the printed product and saves The cost of the solvent reduces the occurrence of waste, which is one of the cost advantages of water-based inks.
