PUR book binding glue is a reactive polyurethane hot melt adhesive for book binding. It is a new book binding glue in recent years. It is regarded as the perfect upgrade product of the current mainstream EVA book binding glue. The mature PUR book binding glue has many advantages that the conventional EVA type book binding glue does not have, or it overcomes many defects inherent in the EVA book binding glue itself. E.g:
1. The temperature adaptability is strong: the temperature adaptation range of the PUR book binding glue is -40 ° C ~ 150 ° C, and the temperature adaptation range of the conventional EVA book binding glue is -5 ° C ~ 80 ° C. Under extreme temperature conditions, EVA-type bookbinding and binding books will have many quality problems due to the physical denaturation of EVA-type bookbinding glue, and the use of PUR-type bookbinding bookbinding will not cause these problems.
2, high bonding strength: the cohesive force of the book binding glue itself and the bonding strength between the glue and the paper are very important for the binding strength of the book. The cohesive force of the EVA book binding glue is ≈5N/cm; and the cohesive strength of the PUR book binding glue is ≥15N/cm. In terms of the strength of the bond between the glue and the paper, the PUR book binding glue is 30 to 60% higher than the EVA book binding glue. The main thing is that these mechanical strengths of PUR-type bookbinding glues do not significantly decrease with temperature.
