In HQ RIP, page setup and film linearization adjustments are important. In the past, we have introduced the practice of film linearization. Here we take the HQ-510 RIP connection screen screen machine as an example to introduce the adjustment method of the page setting.
Select Page Setup Manager in HQ RIP's HQ-510PM (if the RIP of the PC is HQ-510PC) menu.
In the upper part of this menu, Name is the name of the setting page. This item is given by the user. The suggested name is easy to understand. It can make all users know the name of the specific situation set by this page, such as the name. It includes precision, line number, dot shape, and more. Device represents the name of the device to be output, Resolution represents the output precision, Calibration indicates the name of the selected linearization correction curve, and Separations Style indicates the selected color separation type. The above items display the results selected in the next level menu. The next few buttons, Edit is to edit the existing page, click the page settings that need to be modified, and then click the Edit button to enter the next menu, you can modify the project; New is to create a new page; Copy is copied Some pages, the same as the Edit operation, just select the page settings you want to copy, and then click the Copy button; Delete to delete the page settings, also select this button and click this button. Units is a unit that represents the display unit of output precision.
Select New, create a new page, and the menu below appears.
The Output Device column is the designated output device. If you have finished installing and setting up the output device driver, just select it under the drop-down menu after Device; if it is not already set, you need to click the icon after the drop-down menu or at HQ-510PM Select Device Manager from the menu and make settings.
The Resolution column sets the output precision of the new page, Vertical is the vertical precision, Horizontal is the horizontal precision, and Units is the precision display unit. The selection range of accuracy is related to the accuracy of the output device. The accuracy of the screen FT-R5055 can be outputted in six steps: 1000DPI, 1200DPI, 1500DPI, 1800DPI, 2400DPI, 3000DPI. When selecting the accuracy, be careful. If there is no special requirement, the accuracy of the horizontal and vertical should be consistent, otherwise the image and the dot will be deformed. Override resolution in job is selected. When outputting, the accuracy selected by this page setting will be enforced, and it is not affected by the output precision set by the typesetting software. It is recommended that the user select this function.
Separations, Screening & Color This column is for color separation, screen and color settings. In the case of the setting of this item, you only need to select the set item in the drop-down menu after Style. If it has not been set before, you need to click the icon below to set it. The following menu appears after clicking the icon.
First select the set and corresponding output device in Device. The selection should be the same as the selection in the Output Device column (here 5055), then click the New button below to select Monochrome (monochrome) or four. After color, the following menu is displayed (recommended for the user to print the color when printing in the typesetting software, select monochrome here).
After selecting monochrome, only Gray (gray) in the top Separation column, do not select Override separations in job (depending on the color separation setting in the file, that is, the color separation in RIP is forced. Set) and Override angles in job (regardless of the angle in the file, that is, the use of the dot angle in RIP), so that the color version and dot angle at the time of output are determined by the settings in the layout software. Dot shape is the shape of the dot. The shape of the dot in HQ RIP is: Round, Euclidean, Elliptical, Line, Square, Square, and Rhomboid. , Hexachrome Chain (chain point), etc., users can choose according to their needs, if there is no special requirement, it is recommended that the user select Euclidean (circular point) and select the Override dot shape in job item. . The lower side is the accuracy of the selected output and the corresponding number of network lines. The number of network lines can be modified by the user according to actual requirements. Override frequency in job is mandatory to use the number of network lines set here. Generate extra gray levels to produce a good gray level, which is combined with the following item Limit number of gray levels to control the quality of the fade. The larger the value selected in the latter item, the more the number of levels in the gradient, the better the quality of the gradient, but the slower the output. The general value can be placed at 1024. When there are more gradients in the page, it can be placed at the maximum. If the value is set to 256, the gradient will have a jump. Use Harlequin Precision Screening is a precise screening technology that uses HQ. The outlets that are selected after output are generally one line large and one small, which can avoid hitting the net. In addition, it is best not to select this item when doing linearization of the film, and then select it after making it. Rotate screens according to page rotation is the rotation of the net corner with the rotation of the page. This item needs to be selected. Click the HPS Options button at the top right of the item to display the menu below.
The main things to note in this menu are: (1) Zero degrees frequency adjustment: zero degree network angle adjustment. Since 0°C is consistent with the laser scanning direction of the imagesetter, it is easy to generate random lines, which is more likely to cause collision. In the HQ RIP, an offset adjustment is made to the angle of the 0°C angle. The data user of this item can be modified according to his own situation. According to the screening test of the screen company, this value is set to be -4% output quality is better. (2) Maximum frequency deviation: The maximum offset of the network cable between each color. According to the screen company's test, the value of 5% is the best. (3) Generate clear centered rosettes: In the four-color stacking, the ink in the center of the four colors is omitted, and the center is leaked, thus saving ink.
After the setting is completed, click OK to save, you can see the saved settings page, and then select this page in the color separation, screen and color setting options in Figure 3.
In the Processing column, there are two options for Optimization, None and Media Saving. It is recommended to select None. If you choose Media Saving, there may be problems with some software files. After selecting the Enable Feature, there are some special features for the user to select from the drop-down menu below. The main items used by the user are 2across (two pages side by side output) and 4across (four pages side by side output). When the output page is small, in order to save the film, you can select these two according to the size of the page. In this option, there is also a Crop Marks, where the user can add crosshairs and corners to the page. It should be noted that in these choices, 2×2 and 2×2 Reduced, although the two items are also output side by side on two pages, the page will be reduced, causing the output file size to deviate from the required size, resulting in an output error. Users need to pay attention when using it.
In the Calibration & Dot Gain column, the film linearization adjustment bar. We have already introduced the linearization correction method, which will not be introduced here. Select the completed linearization adjustment curve in the Calibration section below.
The Effects column controls the orientation, front and back, yin and yang of the film. After Negative is selected, the photo processor outputs the negative film. When Mirrorprint is selected, the output is the inverse image, that is, the reverse image is seen from the surface of the drug film. The above two items are also available in the typesetting software. The user can only select one place. Otherwise, there will be a situation in which the work is done twice, which is just not done. Therefore, it is recommended not to choose here, which is set by the typesetting software. Set to control. When the Trim page is selected, only the page with information is output when the output is output, and the blank page does not appear. However, the page information page is added to the layout software. Even if there is no information in the layout, only the page information, RIP does not consider it to be a blank page, and will be output. Rotate controls the rotation angle of the page, which can be selected by the drop-down menu at the back to get the desired rotation angle.
The Cassette & Page column sets the type, width and length of the film in the clip. It can be selected from the drop-down menu below the Cassette, or by clicking the icon at the back. set up. The page size can be set in the Page Layout item. It is recommended not to change the parameters and use the default settings. When RIP outputs a file, it can automatically detect the page size without the user setting it. However, when HQ directly outputs the EPS file, there is a problem that the page size cannot be detected. Therefore, the user should try to print the EPS file as a PS file format.
The Scaling column controls the zoom size of the output page. Under normal circumstances, the original big is good, you do not need to enlarge or reduce the page.
Press OK after the setting is completed to save the settings, so that the page setup work is completed and the user can use this new page output.
