In the case of a certain amount of glue applied, from the economic point of view, the optimum working concentration is naturally higher as possible. The determination of the optimal working concentration is of great significance for dry compounding to reduce costs, energy consumption and improve product quality.
The so-called optimal working concentration is the maximum working concentration of the adhesive under the conditions of a certain environment and a certain speed, in order to ensure the good coating state of the adhesive.
In dry compounding, if the working concentration of the adhesive is very low, in order to ensure the amount of glue on the dry basis of the adhesive, only the amount of wet glue applied when the adhesive is applied is selected, that is, the wire roller having a lower number of lines is selected. To guarantee. This will bring a series of problems, such as higher cost of coating, insufficient drying, reduced transparency of finished products, and low production efficiency.
Factors affecting the viscosity of the glue
In the case of a certain amount of glue applied, from the economic point of view, the best working viscosity is naturally higher, but the actual working concentration is determined by the work viscosity. The premise of high-concentration coating is that the glue transfer is good, and the transfer can be well leveled after transfer, and the work coating viscosity is directly related to the transfer and leveling effect of the glue. In addition to the direct influence of the working concentration, the viscosity of the glue is also significantly affected by the temperature. The higher the temperature, the lower the viscosity. This is also the reason why the same concentration of glue in winter and summer is not the same.
The meaning of the best working concentration
1. Reduce costs
In the case where the amount of glue required by the product is constant, as the amount of ethyl acetate is reduced, the working concentration is increased, and the cost per unit area is reduced.
2. Reduce energy consumption
If too much ethyl acetate is used in the preparation of the adhesive, the amount of ethyl acetate to be volatilized will be too large and the energy consumption will increase. The ethyl acetate in the adhesive is transferred to the substrate after the adhesive is applied. After the adhesive is leveled, it is useless.
3. Improve production efficiency
The drying capacity of any equipment is limited. If the working concentration of the adhesive is too low, in order to completely evaporate the ethyl acetate in the adhesive under limited drying capacity, only the method of speed reduction is adopted. In particular, in the case where drying is insufficient, appearance defects of severe bubbles, influence on peel strength, and resistance of the rubber layer may occur.
4. Improve product quality
