At the meeting, Ma Suting, Deputy Director of the Wenzhou Ecological Environment Bureau, provided a policy interpretation and work deployment. He focused on explaining the policy requirements related to waste gas management in Wenzhou, clearly stating that the city will implement the strictest standards and the most effective measures to comprehensively and rigorously manage industrial waste gas, firmly uphold the ecological and environmental baseline, and continuously improve regional air quality. Ma Suting mentioned that the printing industry in the Longpingcang area is characterized by numerous small enterprises, a dispersed distribution, varied waste gas emission points, and weak treatment capacity, posing many challenges to overall governance efforts. He emphasized that as long as government leadership, enterprise participation, third-party governance organizations, industry associations, and other parties work in unison and advance together, building consensus and pooling strength, it is certain that the challenges can be overcome, governance tasks can be completed on schedule and with quality, and the industry can be promoted toward green and high-quality development.

At the meeting, Liang Xiaoke, Secretary-General of the Longgang City Printing and Packaging Industry Association, spoke on behalf of the associations from the three regions. As an important sector of the printing and packaging industry, gravure printing has made positive contributions over the years to the economic development and employment security of Longgang, Pingyang, and Cangnan. After multiple rounds of governance and renovation, the industry has continuously made efforts in environmental protection investment and technological upgrades, achieving phased results. However, it still faces three major challenges: limited space, insufficient funding, and difficulties in adapting to working conditions. To address these issues, he proposed three suggestions: first, to build a gravure printing industrial park, strengthen industry clustering, and achieve centralized governance; second, to encourage underutilized small and micro enterprises to integrate and optimize resource allocation. For enterprises with fewer production lines and lower emissions, reasonable environmental protection equipment should be installed based on actual conditions; third, to strengthen policy support by securing more funds for air pollution prevention and providing transitional periods for enterprises planning to enter the gravure printing industrial park. He believes that with the attention and support of relevant departments and the joint efforts of the entire industry, the challenges of governance can be overcome, promoting the gravure printing industry onto a high-quality path of green development.

At the meeting, six environmental management companies, including Huashijie and Zhuojin, introduced their products and technologies.

The successful hosting of this technical exchange meeting further consolidated the governance consensus among the government, enterprises, and associations, clarified policy directions, technological pathways, and key work priorities, and effectively addressed enterprises' confusion in organic waste gas management, laying a solid foundation for the orderly advancement of organic waste gas management in Wenzhou's printing industry. Moving forward, all parties will take this exchange meeting as an opportunity to strengthen collaborative efforts, effectively enhance the environmental governance level of the printing industry, and contribute to the continuous improvement of the city's ecological environment quality.
