On the production schedule of Grand Printing, China's largest online printing company, over a thousand different orders are distributed and processed simultaneously every day. Each order corresponds to a unique file, exclusive substrate, and has its own delivery deadline.
Faced with such a huge number of orders and tight delivery schedules, the speed of the press itself is no longer the only key factor; the quick changeover between orders is crucial. Traditional plate-making printing processes hit a bottleneck here: making and installing printing plates for thousands of jobs every day would consume far more space, labor, and time than the printing process itself.
In October 2024, Grand Printing's Yongcheng production headquarters first introduced the Landa S11P Nanographic Press. The press supports seven-color printing and inline coating, handling various commercial printing and short-run packaging tasks, and can complete double-sided printing in a single pass.
The excellent performance of the first press led the company to decisively purchase a second identical Landa press earlier this year. Now, Grand is installing the second Landa S11P at its soon-to-be operational Dongguan plant. This move is not merely to fill a capacity gap, but to replicate their entire highly efficient production model.
"The Landa S11P has saved us a huge amount of time on short-run job changeovers and greatly boosted printing efficiency, so it was natural for us to purchase a second machine," said Mr. Cui Wenfeng, Chairman of Grand Printing.
With offset-quality production results, no plate-making, and no extra cost for order changes, these advantages allow the factory to reliably handle thousands of orders every day, producing flexibly and freely.
Currently, Shanda's second Landa printing machine is being rapidly installed at its factory in Dongguan, and it is expected to go into production smoothly in the near future.
