Gathering in the Spring City, Jinan
On January 22, the second council meeting of the fifth session of the Shandong Printing Association was grandly held in Jinan, the spring city. The association's chairman, Zhong Hua, executive chairman Wang Changchun, vice chairmen Zhu Zhen, Shen Tie, Xu Yong, Jia Guangsheng, Qiu Dexin, Zhang Keqing, Dong Zhentao, Zhang Weien, Ye Yongtao, Cao Buyun, Zhao Hua, Wang Tao, vice chairman and secretary-general Li Baozhong, advisors Zhang Quan and Liu Peili, supervisor Xu Jianmin, as well as nearly 200 industry colleagues including executive directors and council members gathered together to discuss development. Relevant leaders and staff from the Propaganda Department of the Provincial Party Committee were invited to attend and provide guidance.

At the beginning of the meeting, Executive Director of the Association Wang Changchun presented the 2025 work summary and 2026 key work points report of the Shandong Printing Association Council.

In 2025, under the leadership of the Propaganda Department of the Provincial Party Committee and other competent authorities, the Shandong Printing Association successfully completed its leadership elections, established a temporary Party branch, and strengthened the foundation for Party-led governance. Over the year, it ensured the printing of major political publications and more than 200 million copies of primary and secondary school textbooks, promoted industry transformation towards greener and digital practices, organized 16 exchange activities, and successfully held the Shandong International Printing, Packaging, and Paper Industry Exhibition. The total output value of the province's printing industry reached 146.3 billion yuan, up 1.8% year-on-year. More than 11,000 enterprises and 146,000 employees demonstrated a strong sense of responsibility.
In 2026, the Association will closely follow the '15th Five-Year Plan,' focusing on five key areas: political service, digital and intelligent empowerment, talent development, exchange and cooperation, and the Association's own development. It will advance 25 key tasks, deepen industry-university-research integration, cultivate new high-quality productivity, and help Shandong's printing industry lead the nation.

The Secretariat of Shandong Printing Association submitted a proposal, requesting the Board to review the changes and additions to the directors and executive directors. It is reported that two organizations will be promoted from directors to executive directors; it is planned to add four new director units and twelve new executive director units, covering fields such as printing equipment, ink, and exhibitions, which will further optimize the association's organizational structure and support the industry's development.

The alliance was jointly initiated by 17 units and established a three-tier organizational structure, focusing on talent cultivation and technological innovation as its core tasks. Through practical measures such as order-based training, skills competitions, and joint technical research, it aims to address development challenges such as the disconnect between talent supply and demand in the industry. The alliance strives to promote the digital, intelligent, and green transformation of the printing industry, injecting strong momentum into the high-quality development of the province's printing sector. At the technical exchange meeting, representatives from key industry chain partners and industry colleges across the country, together with participating guests, conducted in-depth discussions on the current challenges and future blueprint of the printing industry. All parties jointly explored the current state of the industry, transformation paths, and innovative solutions. The exchange meeting was hosted by Li Baozhong, Deputy Chairman and Secretary-General of the Association.
