On December 2, 2016, the Bureau of Press, Publication, Broadcasting and Broadcasting of Fujian Province and the School of Journalism and Communication of Peking University signed a cooperation agreement for the construction of a Fujian Printing Culture Protection Base in Liancheng County, Longyan City, Fujian Province, to promote the construction of Fujian Printing Culture Protection Base.
According to the agreement, the School of Journalism and Communication of Peking University will assign experts to guide the construction of the Fujian Printing Culture Protection Base, provide consulting, argumentation, and information services for the bases to make plans, implement projects, and build exhibition halls, etc., and provide professional training for the base personnel. Give support. At the same time, we will guide and assist in the development of print and cultural heritage activities such as seminars and exhibitions targeted at young people, guide the development of print cultural and creative products, and guide and assist in the collection and protection of the physical objects and remains of Fujian's printing culture scattered both at home and abroad. The Fujian Printing Culture Protection Base serves as a practice base for the School of Journalism and Communication of Peking University, and it is necessary to provide protection for extracurricular on-campus teaching. The two sides will also co-organize the "Fujian Printing Culture International Academic Seminar" and other research results will be published in Fujian.
The School of Journalism and Communication of Peking University also awarded plaques for the "Printing and Communication Institute Practice Base of Peking University" to the Liancheng Branch, Jianyang Branch, and Ninghua Branch of the Chinese Printing Museum.
