According to the database of the China Business Research Institute, the export volume of China's printed products declined slightly from 2014 to 2017. In 2017, China's print exports amounted to 993,018 tons, down 0.6% year-on-year. From January to August 2018, China's print exports amounted to 654,118 tons, an increase of 1.1% year-on-year.

In terms of the amount of money, the export value of China's printed products showed an increasing trend from 2013 to 2015. In 2015, the export value of China's printed products was US$3902.9 million, a year-on-year increase of 1.7%. In 2016, the export value of China's printed products declined. In 2017, the export value of China's printed products rebounded. From January to August, the export value of China's printed products was US$2463.3 million, a year-on-year increase of 7.2%.
