From the 8th to the 9th, the 2018 China Printing Industry Innovation Conference hosted by the State Press and Publication Administration opened in Beijing. The "China Printing Industry Intelligent Development Report (2018)" (hereinafter referred to as "Report") released at the meeting outlines the status quo and future blueprint of the intelligent development of China's printing industry.
Intelligent direction is becoming a consensus
From the perspective of development status, China's printing industry is full of opportunities and challenges.
The opportunity lies in the fact that the "Report" shows that China's printing industry's production capacity, coverage, market operation and industrial scale have been among the highest in the world. In 2017, China's printing industry was steadily rising. The total output value of printing was 1,205.77 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 4.6%. In one fell swoop, the growth rate has been declining since 2012, and the new window period effect is emerging.
The challenge is that compared with developed countries, China's printing industry is still large and not strong, and the products are large and not refined. There is still much room for improvement in terms of equipment level, management capacity, full labor productivity, especially intelligent construction.
In this context, through the intelligent construction to drive the transformation and upgrading of the whole industry, to achieve high-quality development, and gradually become the industry consensus.
Taking national printing demonstration enterprises as an example, more than half of the demonstration enterprises have developed smart factory plans, and 83% of enterprises have developed plans for automation transformation and optimization, and some enterprises have already implemented them.
“In the past few years, we have clearly felt that the company’s thirst for new technologies has never been as strong as it is now. The sense of crisis in development has never been as urgent as it is now.” Liu Xiaokai, Director of the Printing and Distribution Department of the State Press and Publication Administration, gave a speech at the conference. Still in the beginning stage of exploration
Despite the consensus, the promotion of intelligent printing in China still has a long way to go.
In order to understand the intelligent construction of China's printing industry, in July this year, the National Press and Publication Administration conducted a questionnaire survey for 98 national printing and copying demonstration enterprises, and recovered 71 valid feedbacks.
The survey shows that China's printing and copying demonstration enterprises have a certain degree of attention to equipment intelligence, and more than 80% of enterprises have the functions of connecting to the Internet, status monitoring and self-inspection. However, the intelligent workshops and factory construction of these enterprises have just started, the development of intelligent logistics and warehousing is slow, and the integration of information systems is low. An industry insider told the Science and Technology Daily that most of the information systems used by domestic printing companies cover only the individual links of business operations, and only a few use integrated information systems.
"Currently, the intelligent development of China's printing industry is in the initial exploration period, the development level is multi-dimensional, the regional layout is unevenly distributed, and there is no mature experience to follow." Liu Xiaokai said.
The survey believes that the lack of mature intelligent solutions and professional and technical personnel is the two major problems that restrict the intelligent construction of the printing industry.
Accelerate from the top design
The China Printing Industry Innovation Conference with the theme of “focusing on intelligence” highlights the efforts to promote the intelligence of the printing industry. One of its highlights is the problem-oriented, systematic layout of the intelligent development of China's printing industry.
For example, in response to the problem of ambiguous propulsion path, the “Report” pointed out the intelligent promotion path of China's printing industry, including consolidating the digital foundation, promoting the promotion of networked applications, and launching pilot intelligent manufacturing.
The "Report" also put forward the key tasks of the intelligent development of China's printing industry, including the introduction of standard systems, accelerated standard setting, collaborative research and development, making up for short equipment, creating digital workshops and building smart factories.
It is worth mentioning that in order to give full play to the leading and supporting role of standards in the intelligent development of the printing industry, the conference announced the draft of the "Printing Intelligent Manufacturing Standard System Table", and will continue to be revised to the industry at the end of the year.
