China And Russia Will Work Together To Build A Stone Powder Cardboard Box Project, With An Estimated Annual Production Capacity Of 200 Million Square Meters

On August 18, 2025, Orlov Stanislav Alekseevich, the Commercial Representative of the Russian Federation to the People's Republic of China, held important talks with Li Canaan, the Director of the Asian Economic and Trade Center, in Beijing. Both parties have reached a strategic cooperation intention on the production of environmentally friendly stone powder cardboard boxes and the application of micro freezing technology, and plan to establish a joint production base in Russia to jointly promote the upgrading of the green technology industry.

Among them, the stone powder cardboard box technology has become the core topic of this meeting due to its excellent environmental performance and physical properties. Compared with traditional cardboard boxes, stone powder cardboard boxes have the following significant advantages:
High strength compression resistance: Its load-bearing capacity far exceeds that of ordinary cardboard boxes, making it suitable for long-distance transportation and heavy packaging needs.
Fireproof and Waterproof: Non combustible and insoluble in water, greatly improving storage and transportation safety.
100% environmentally friendly: The raw materials are made of mineral waste, without the need for logging, and there is no wastewater discharge throughout the production process, fully meeting the global carbon neutrality goal.

Based on technological complementarity, both parties have decided to establish a joint production base in the Moscow Oblast or Far East region of Russia, with an initial investment of $150 million, covering:
Stone powder cardboard box production line: expected annual production capacity of 200 million square meters, meeting the high-end packaging needs of the Russian and European markets;
Micro freezing equipment manufacturing center: providing full chain support from technical output to localized services.
After the project is put into operation, it will directly create 500 job opportunities and drive the development of related industries such as mineral processing and logistics transportation.

Representative Orlov emphasized, "The Russian government will provide tax incentives and land policy support for this cooperation to ensure the rapid implementation of projects." The talks further deepened China Russia cooperation in science, technology and industry under the framework of the "the Belt and Road".
