On September 9th, Yichang Jiangmei Technology Co., Ltd. started construction of a new pharmaceutical and food packaging production line project with an annual output of 2 billion sets in Yichang Biotechnology Industrial Park. After the project is fully put into operation, it is expected that the annual output value will exceed 400 million yuan, providing more than 300 core employment positions and effectively filling the gap in the high-end pharmaceutical packaging field in Central China.
It is reported that the project is a newly established intelligent manufacturing headquarters base invested by Shangmei Technology Co., Ltd. in Yichang. The project covers an area of 50 acres and has a planned total construction area of 43000 square meters. It is planned to be completed in two phases. The first phase of the project will cover an area of 19500 square meters and is expected to be completed and put into production within 9 months.

This project relies on the two major advantageous industries of biopharmaceuticals and food consumer goods in Yichang, focusing on the core needs of high-end packaging for biopharmaceuticals and food, and building an industry matrix driven by "medicine+food" to promote the transformation of the packaging industry from a single manufacturing model to an integrated model of "manufacturing+service". By introducing leading intelligent manufacturing equipment both domestically and internationally, we aim to establish a digital control system for the entire process from raw materials to finished products, ensuring the technological precision of each set of pharmaceutical packaging.
After the completion of the project, it will promote the deep integration of printing technology and the biopharmaceutical industry. After the project is fully put into operation, it will achieve an annual production scale of 2 billion sets of pharmaceutical and food packaging, effectively meeting the core packaging needs of pharmaceutical and food enterprises in Central China and providing a solid guarantee for the upgrading of the regional industrial chain.
