A stronger partnership takes another step forward! Shengda Printing adds an order for 10 more Heidelberg Jetfire 50 machines

Shengda Intelligent Printing Group has once again ordered 10 Heidelberg Jetfire 50 digital inkjet printing machines. As the largest online printing company in China, over 95% of Shengda Printing's orders come from the Internet. Several months ago, the company became the first Chinese user of the Heidelberg Jetfire 50. Since the equipment officially started operation in June 2025, it has produced more than 10 million printed pages in total.

In view of the excellent user experience brought by the initial introduction of the Jetfire 50 system, Shanda Printing decisively made additional investments this time, purchasing 10 more inkjet printers of the same model. These new devices will be deployed across multiple production bases in China over the coming months, with the first two units officially arriving in December. This move not only marks another important milestone in Shanda Printing's strategic development but also directly targets the core objective of efficient mass production of short-run digital prints. Currently, in addition to using digital printing systems to handle short-run orders, Shanda Printing still completes a large number of orders through sheet-fed offset printing. For this purpose, the company currently operates around 200 Heidelberg press units, fully covering the requirements for large and medium-format products.

The company ultimately chose to continue its partnership with Heidelberg, mainly benefiting from its comprehensive digital ecosystem-particularly excellent color quality, highly stable printing performance, and superior equipment availability guaranteed by Heidelberg's service commitment. Heidelberg's global service network provides 24/7 rapid response. Even in the event of unexpected equipment issues, instant technical support and efficient spare parts supply help minimize production downtime, establishing a solid foundation for continuous and stable production.Another key advantage of the Jetfire 50 system is its ability to significantly reduce labor costs and improve overall operational efficiency. With this technology, Shengda Printing can reduce 2 to 3 operators per shift. As a core component of a fully automated digital printing production line, the Jetfire 50 system can integrate directly with online printing orders through Print Workflow and JDF import functionality. For example, for short-run orders requiring high-quality, customized covers and consistent inner pages, Shengda Printing can now complete the production in a single process at low cost. "The Jetfire system's level of automation and overall performance is impressive, fully aligning with our vision for a digital future," said Mr. Cui Wenfeng, founder and chairman of Shengda Printing. "In the medium term, we plan to deploy 20 to 30 digital production lines, and this investment in the Jetfire system is a key step in achieving that goal.""Shengda Printing's additional investment fully demonstrates the robust strength of Heidelberg's industrial-grade digital printing solutions and the global market value of Jetfire technology," said Dr. David Schmedding, Heidelberg Board Member and Global President of Technology and Sales. "It also further validates the success of our core business growth strategy." According to market assessments, by 2029, the global digital printing market (including services and consumables) accessible to Heidelberg will grow from approximately €5 billion to €7.5 billion. Based on this positive trend, Heidelberg has been continuously expanding its product portfolio in the two core areas of inkjet and toner, which will provide strong momentum for the growth of the company's digital printing solutions sales.
