First, "fake ink change"

EPSON's COLOR series printers use ink at a very fast rate. After each use, when the original ink cartridge of the COLOR series printer is removed, you can see that there is a lot of ink remaining in it. Gently squeeze the ink cartridge and a large amount of ink flows out from the bottom piercing seal. We can find a way. Use up all of this ink.

The EPSONCOLOR series printer does not measure the ink consumption by detecting the ink in the ink cartridge. Instead, it calculates the total amount of ink to measure the amount of ink. For the sake of safety, the manufacturer installs ink in the ink cartridge. "The rated ink consumption is much more. We can use the "fake ink change" method to zero the "counter" so that the ink cartridge can be used for printing as long as it does have ink.

The specific operation method is: when the “ink out indicator” on the printer is shining, press the “change button” on the printer panel, the cartridge holder will slide to the ink change position, and the cover will be uncovered, but not removed. The ink cartridge, then close the cartridge holder cover, and then press the ink change button on the printer panel, the printer starts to perform the ink filling action. After the ink is filled, you will see that the ink level indicator in the printer operation interface is full. It’s gone. Now you can use the ink cartridge that should have been scrapped again. After the "false ink change", the ink in the ink cartridge can be completely consumed, so that at least 50% of the original print volume can be increased.

Please note that the problem after "false ink change" is that after the ink in the ink cartridge is actually exhausted, the ink cartridge cannot be replaced in the usual way. However, you can press the cleaning button. When the cartridge holder goes to the position of changing the ink cartridge, forcibly turn off the power of the printer. You can pick up the lid of the cartridge holder like a normal ink change, and remove the empty cartridge. Do not put a new cartridge into it. Pass the printer power supply, then the printer detects no ink, the "ink out indicator" will flash, then change the ink according to the normal method.

Second, inject compatible ink

Although printer manufacturers strongly oppose this, it is a very important way to save ink. In fact, most of the time after the ink is added, the printer's functions and performance are very stable, and it is the same as the original ink cartridge. Inking can be carried out as follows:

First, prepare a large syringe and a long needle around the 6th, and then buy a suitable compatible ink into the computer market. When the computer issues an ink shortage warning, open the front cover of the printer, press the ink cartridge button on the printer to stop the ink cartridge in the loading and unloading position, and then directly unplug the printer. Remove the ink cartridge and observe it carefully. It can be seen that there is a small hole on the ink cartridge that can just be inserted into the No. 6 needle. Use a syringe to slowly inject a proper amount of compatible ink through the hole (preferably fill the cartridge). When injecting ink, the ink cartridge should be kept upright, and the ink cartridge can be taken to the storage box for easy operation; the ink can be injected in 3 or 4 times, and when the last ink is poured from the hole of the ink cartridge, it can be determined. The ink cartridge is full. Generally, the price of compatible ink is only about 1/4 of the price of the original ink cartridge, which can greatly save printing costs.

Third, choose the right print quality

As we all know, the ink consumption of the spray is proportional to its print quality and resolution. Different print resolutions and print quality should be selected according to different application requirements. Sometimes this is very important. For example, Canon's BJC-210 can increase the amount of printing by about 3 times when using the "super economy mode". In the usual way, we can use the ink-saving mode that reduces the print quality.
