Paper is one of the important materials for printing books, so it is important to keep paper. Pay attention to the following when storing paper:
(1) Do not throw from the height when transporting paper to avoid loose parts and damaged paper. Do not erect the paper and lay it as flat as possible. The stack of web should not be too high to avoid crushing the paper edge or paper core; if the stack is too high, personal accidents can occur. It is forbidden to use iron hooks when transporting. The web should be pushed by the arrow pointing to the scroll.
(2) Do not store in the open air for too long, and transport it to the warehouse for storage.
(3) Moisture proof. Paper is highly hygroscopic and very sensitive to air humidity. The moisture content of the paper varies with the humidity of the air, so store the paper in a clean, dry place. When stacking paper, place a footrest. Can't be stacked close to the wall. The relative humidity of the warehouse and workshop where the paper is stored is preferably kept at 60% to 70%.
(4) Sun protection. Paper contains lignin and should be protected from direct sunlight. After the paper is exposed to sunlight, the paper evaporates and the paper becomes brittle or deformed. When it is serious, it cannot be printed on the machine.
(5) Heat protection. The temperature of the paper is not too high when it is stored. When the temperature exceeds 38 ° C, the strength of the paper is remarkably lowered, and in particular, the coated paper sheets are bonded into a block and become waste. The temperature of the warehouse and workshop where the paper is stored is preferably 18-20 °C.
(6) Anti-folding. When stacking paper sheets, it is absolutely necessary to avoid stacking them in three folds. When stacking, the four sides of the paper should not be staggered, otherwise the protruding part will be broken, creased, discolored, etc., so the paper should be placed neatly.
