Use the software: Photoshop CS

Technical points and ideas: Convert text into shapes and use local tools to edit local nodes, which allows for a more personalized look.

Make more changes with the path operation of the shape layer, then use the channel combined with the brush to make complex selections, and use the light rendering filter combined with the texture channel to make a three-dimensional effect. I hope that the production method of this example will give you more inspiration for special effects production.

Special effects production method:

1. Create a blank file of 500×500 pixels, set the foreground color to light gray, type the text, and set the text size.

2. Perform a Layer/Type/Convert to Shape on the text layer to convert the text layer into a vector layer.

3. Use the pen tool to re-edit the outline path of the text.

4. Switch to the Rounded Rectangle Shape tool, select the trim mode on the status bar, draw a rounded rectangle and subtract it from the original text shape.

5. Switch to the path selection tool, select the path of the rounded rectangle, hold down the ALT key and drag the quick copy, then hold down the SHIFT key to select the original rounded rectangle path and select the vertical centered alignment on the status bar.

6. Hold down the CTRL key and click on the path mask after the vector layer to float the selection. Go to the channel panel, click on the mask icon to create a new channel.

7. Select a hard-edged round brush head with the foreground color set to black and click on the channel image to form two circles. Use the pen tool to draw a path and set the Spacing of the brush to a minimum of 1%, which results in a smoother stroke.

8. In the triangle menu of the path panel, set the Stroke Path tool as a brush, or click the quick command icon under the path panel to perform the stroke path operation. You can try several times and adjust the path to get the most satisfactory results.

9. Continue to use the brush stroke path method combined with the free painting of the brush to draw more decorations.

10. Copy the channel, perform Gaussian blur on the copy, 5 pixels, and then perform the Gaussian blur filter 3 times again, the values are 3, 2, 1, respectively, to get a smooth blur effect.

11. Hold down the CTRL key and click on channel 1, floating the selection. Go to the Layers panel, hide the original shape layer, create a new layer, and fill it with 30% gray (shown in Figure 15). And execute the render/light render filter, and the texture channel selects the channel 1 copy that just executed the blur. At this time, the text in the picture produces a three-dimensional effect.

12. Return to channel 1, use the magic wand tool and hold down the SHIFT button to select the black parts that are processed with the brush.

13. Go to the Layers panel and create a new layer. Use the brush tool to select a different foreground color and apply it in the selection area.

14. Perform a layer style on the brushed layer, first embossing.

15. The second is the improved internal illumination pattern.

16. For the selection of floating channel 1, add a layer below the text layer as a shadow, fill 50% gray, Gaussian blur, and set the layer blending mode.

17. Perform a slight Gaussian blur on the layer of gold text to soften the text boundaries.

18. Hold down the CTRL key and click on the gold text layer, float the selection, add a curve adjustment layer, and adjust the curve to a W shape to create a strong metallic texture.

19. Once again, float the selection of the gold text layer, add a saturation adjustment layer, and check the colored checkbox to color the whole.

20. Add a pattern fill layer to add a background texture to create a texture contrast.

21. Create a new layer, use a star brush to process the highlights, and then use a 10% white soft-edged brush to gently draw a star-shaped highlight. (The overall highlight point should not be too much, just enough).
