The first event of the '2026 Packaging Industry Digital Benchmark Enterprises Series' was successfully held at Tongli Printing.

 

On September 1st, the first event of the '2026 Packaging Industry Digital Benchmark Enterprises Series'-visiting Tongli Printing-was successfully held in the thousand-year-old town of Tongli by the shores of Taihu Lake. The event was hosted by the China Packaging Federation and co-organized by its Digitalization Working Group, Suzhou Tongli Printing Technology Co., Ltd., and Beijing Ruixin Digital Intelligence Technology Co., Ltd., with the theme 'Seeing Digital Intelligence · Leading the Future of Printing.' Nearly 50 representatives from packaging, printing, and related enterprises nationwide attended, including Han Xueshan, Vice President and Secretary-General of the China Packaging Federation; Dong Kai, Director of the Technology Department at the CCID Research Institute of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology; Zhu Jing, Deputy Secretary-General of the China Packaging Federation; Song Huihui, Deputy Editor-in-Chief of Keyin Media and President of Printing Technology Magazine; Yan Jianzhong, Chairman and General Manager of Suzhou Tongli Printing Technology Co., Ltd.; and Zhou Zhixin, Chairman of Beijing Ruixin Digital Intelligence Technology Co., Ltd. The meeting was hosted by Wang Weihong of the China Packaging Federation.

The '2026 Benchmark Enterprises in Packaging Industry Digitalization Series' is a series of events organized by the China Packaging Federation to fully promote digital transformation in the packaging industry. The goal is to visit a group of companies that are pioneers in digital development and uncover practical examples that are visible, learnable, and replicable. The first stop of the event was Suzhou Tongli Printing Technology Co., Ltd. This long-established packaging and printing company, with over sixty years of history, has been steadily advancing its digital transformation in recent years, accumulating valuable experience in its journey from a traditional packaging company to a benchmark in digitalization.

In his speech, Han Xueshan focused on the national policies guiding corporate digital transformation and pointed out the direction and set the tone for promoting digital transformation in the packaging industry from both policy and industry perspectives. He fully recognized the value of Tongli Printing as a 'replicable benchmark' example, believing that its transformation practices offer experiences that the industry can learn from and apply. He hopes more companies can find transformation paths that suit themselves. At the same time, he acknowledged the role of Ruixin Digital Intelligence as a 'companion' on the road to digitalization for enterprises and hopes that service providers will continue to stay close to real business scenarios to provide practical and effective support for industry transformation.

Song Huihui explained the value of 'seeing' from the perspective of industry media. She said that industry media not only witness best practices but also share the 'Tongli experience' with the whole industry. They will make full use of their media platform to promote and spread benchmark experiences more widely, helping more companies find entry points for transformation from these best practices.

Dong Kai provides policy guidance, explaining the support directions for gradually developing smart factories and the digital transformation of manufacturing. Huang Qinghua, Deputy General Manager of Suzhou Tongli Printing Technology Co., Ltd., gave a keynote sharing, systematically explaining Tongli Printing's path to digital transformation. From the background of its construction, implementation path, to the results on the ground, he comprehensively showed how a factory with more than sixty years of history uses digitalization to reshape its production organization and management processes. As the 'customer practice side' in this event, Tongli Printing used real operational data to prove that digital transformation is not just for emerging tech companies; traditional companies can also take digital wings and achieve high-quality transformation and upgrading.

During the event, four entrepreneurs-Chai Chengxue, General Manager of Beijing Ruixin Digital Intelligence Technology Co., Ltd.; Yan Jianzhong, Chairman and General Manager of Suzhou Tongli Printing Technology Co., Ltd.; Cheng Yongjian, Deputy General Manager of Xi'an Lingfeng Global Printing Technology Co., Ltd.; and Sun Qingsong, General Manager of Zhejiang Yamengwei Printing & Packaging Co., Ltd.-discussed the topic 'When Printing Meets Data, What's the Next Stop for Traditional Factories?' Combining insights from their own companies, the guests had in-depth discussions on industry-wide issues such as data collection and governance, the leap from presenting to predicting data value, whether digitalization transforms processes or reshapes business models, and the replicability of benchmark examples.

At the meeting, Beijing Ruixin Digital Intelligence Technology Co., Ltd. officially launched the DOP Digital Operations Platform.

At the same time, attendees visited two companies: Tongli Printing Digital Factory and Lingyun Light Industrial AI Taihu Base. They got to go deep into the production frontlines and see up close how traditional packaging companies are improving quality and efficiency through digital transformation. They also gained a better understanding of cutting-edge applications of AI and machine vision in industrial quality inspection and smart sensing, experiencing firsthand the new momentum that 'AI + advanced manufacturing' brings to the intelligent upgrade of the packaging and printing industry.
