“Guangdong Province Printing and Flexible Display Innovation Center Establishment Conference and Strategic Partner Signing Ceremony” was held in Guangzhou. Yuan Baocheng, deputy governor of Guangdong Province and Peng Hongbing, deputy director of the Electronics Department of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology attended the meeting.
In 2014, Guangdong Province established the nation’s first “Printing Display Technology and Material Technology Innovation Alliance”, which has designated the printing display industry as a key supportive development industry in Guangdong Province. “Guangdong Printing and Flexible Display Innovation Center” is currently building a display industrial park located in the middle of the spectrum of Science City, Luogang District, Guangzhou City. The planned construction area is nearly 150,000 square meters. It is expected that the equipment will be moved in July 2017. The current project is progressing smoothly. The construction of the pile foundation, floor and underground parts of the R&D building has been completed; at the same time, the “Center” has actively displayed the leading enterprises, universities and scientific research institutes within the United Nations, and the two units of Shenzhen Huaxing Optoelectronics Technology Co., Ltd. and Tianma Microelectronics Co., Ltd. Based on the foundation, we will gradually introduce universities and enterprises such as South China University of Technology and Shanghai Jiao Tong University to participate in the joint construction. In terms of industrial strategic cooperation, the “center” is now linked with DuPont, Sumitomo Chemical, Merck Chemicals, Nissan Chemicals, Kateeva, and iFAK. South Korea’s top US upstream companies such as JUSUNG signed a strategic cooperation agreement.
