Eastman, a century-old chemical giant in the United States, has teamed up with Axilone, a manufacturer of high-end beauty packaging materials, to develop a sustainable transparent resin material that can be used in high-end beauty packaging.

Called Cristal™ One Renew IM812, the material is made from 100% certified recycled material and can also be recycled, with a glass-like transparent and shiny appearance, while inherently having properties similar to copolyester, including improved impact resistance, chemical resistance, and more.

Cristal™ One Renew IM812 is part of Eastman's Eastman's family of Cristal One materials, both Cristal One IM812 and Cristal One Renew IM812 are now RecyClass Recyclability Approval, which can be used by Europe's most advanced PET The bottle recycling process is used for recycling.

According to Eastman and Axilone, the new resin material offers unique benefits to luxury beauty brands: combining the eco-friendly properties of a sustainable material with the aesthetics of high-end beauty packaging.

Cristal Renew IM812 offers the possibility of developing a wide range of applications for all areas of the beauty industry, and Axilone has used it for caps, lipsticks and sunscreen stick packaging for high-end perfumes and skincare products, among others.
