Compared with traditional water printing, although the history of waterless printing is not long, it has more problems in practice. The following author briefly analyzes the application of waterless UV offset printing in card making.
The advantages of waterless UV offset printing are outstanding, the ink color is full, the color is bright, the stereoscopic effect is strong, the color is basically consistent during the printing process, and the operation is convenient and fast. At present, the price of waterless UV ink required for card making is slightly higher than that of general UV ink, but it is basically flat; the price of the waterless UV printing plate used is slightly higher, especially the hardware configuration of the workshop environment and the configuration requirements of the machine. High, in the offset printing workshop under constant humidity, constant temperature conditions, as much as possible, no dust, constant temperature, constant humidity, the ink on the ink, liquidity has a great impact, dust-free is also critical for printing quality.
At present, there are two types of waterless UV offset printing on the card: one is a special waterless single card offset printing machine; the other is a waterless offset printing machine that was originally converted into a large water offset printing machine. The modification of a large offset press basically requires a water-cooled ink roller device, an ink fountain roller cooling device, and a plate cylinder cooling device (mainly water-cooled and air-cooled).
The ink roller must use an ink roller that conforms to the waterless UV ink. The requirements for the four ink rollers are higher, and the ink roller needs no aging, expansion and falling off, and the pressure at both ends must be the same. When adjusting the pressure, the pressure of each of the plate-fed rollers is correspondingly reduced by 1 mm on the basis of water printing, and the excessive pressure will directly affect the reproduction of the dots.
From the current quality of domestic waterless offset printing, the dot printing of waterless printing is slightly more deformed than that of water printing, and the edge of the dot is not round enough and slightly oily. This is also where waterless printing needs further improvement.
From the high requirements and high standards of card printing, there is still a lot of room for development in waterless printing. The key is how to better in quality, how to better promote and how to better reduce the cost of raw and auxiliary materials.
